Devious eSports’ run in the DFRAG Invitational Open Qualifiers has officially come to an end following a tough day of Counter-Strike for the team. DVS opened the qualifier in the Upper Bracket against Noxious, falling 8–13 after a competitive matchup with several closely contested rounds. The loss sent us into the Lower Bracket, where we faced Retirement Too. Unfortunately, a 3–13 defeat brought our DFRAG Invitational campaign to an end. Heading into the event without our complete starting roster, DVS competed with a stand-in throughout the qualifier. While it wasn’t the ideal situation, the team adapted as best they could and gave it everything with the lineup available on the day. Despite the early exit, there are still positives to take away from the event. With the roster continuing to build chemistry, develop its systems and refine strategies, every official provides valuable experience and another opportunity to identify areas for improvement. The DFRAG Invitational may be over for us, but there’s still plenty more Counter-Strike ahead for DVS. The team now turns its attention towards the ESEA Season 58 Playoffs and the ANZC Locals Spring 2026 Open Qualifiers, with more opportunities to compete and bounce back immediately. Not the result we wanted, but one tournament doesn’t define the work being put in behind the scenes.
